Main Level

Open, Warm, and Built for Gathering

The kitchen, dining, and living area all open into one space with a gas fireplace. When the group comes back from a long day, nobody gets stuck off in another room. You cook, eat, and hang out together.

The kitchen has everything you need to actually cook. There's a Bunn dual-pot coffee maker for the early crew, a gas stove, and all the cookware. Make a real breakfast before you head out, or a big dinner when you get back.

The primary bedroom has a king bed and a walk-in closet. The private bath has a soaking tub and a walk-in shower, so you can soak out a hard day and sleep well before the next one.

The washer and dryer mean you're not packing for every single day. Run a load of muddy clothes at night and start fresh in the morning.

Main living area with stone gas fireplace, vaulted pine ceiling, leather sofa, and Blue Ridge mountain photography on the wall Fully equipped kitchen with granite counters, gas range, stainless appliances, Bunn dual-pot coffee maker, and a center island Primary bath with deep freestanding soaking tub, slate tile floor, and forest views through the window Dining area with a six-seat table, wrought-iron chandelier, and french doors opening onto the deck
Lower level family room with stone gas fireplace, leather sofa, wood-paneled walls and ceiling, mounted TV, and french doors opening to the woods Davidson Room — king bed with blue plaid quilt, fly-fishing trout photography over the headboard, and forest views through the window Ridgeline Room — king bed with iron frame, mountain biking photography over the headboard, and warm pine accents Lower level full bathroom with pedestal sink, framed mirror, and a misty Blue Ridge mountain shower curtain

Lower Level

A Second Living Space for the Crew

Downstairs is its own world. There's a second family room where the group can spread out, watch something, or just put their feet up after a big day. If one person wants quiet and another wants the TV, there's room for both.

The Ridgeline Room is built for the riders. King bed, mountain biking theme, and a place to crash hard after a day on the trails. Wake up, grab coffee, and go again.

The Davidson Room is for the anglers. King bed, trout fishing theme, named for the river just up the road. It's an easy place to rest up before an early start on the water.

Both rooms share a full bath on this level, so the downstairs crew has everything they need without trekking upstairs. Spread out, settle in, and let the day wind down.

Outdoor Setup

Where the Day Winds Down

The hot tub is waiting when you get back. Sore legs, tired shoulders, a long day behind you. Climb in, let the heat work, and feel the day melt off.

Out back there's a fire pit with Adirondack chairs around it. This is where the group ends up at night. Someone tells the story of the gnarly descent, someone else plans tomorrow, and nobody's in a hurry to go inside.

The front porch has rocking chairs for slow mornings with coffee or a quiet beer at the end of the day. Sometimes the best part of the trip is just sitting still for a minute.

There's a gas grill for nights you'd rather cook in than drive into town. Throw something on, eat outside, keep it easy.

Your bikes and gear have a real home in the garage. No leaning them against the wall in the living room, no tripping over packs. They're stored, safe, and ready for the next day.

And the outdoor wash area has everything you need to clean your gear. Hose off the Pisgah clay, rinse the bike, and knock the mud off your boots before any of it follows you inside.

Stone fire pit ringed by sage-green Adirondack chairs on a flagstone patio, sunlit hardwood forest in the background Covered hot tub on the wood deck beside the cabin, with a gas grill and forest views Outdoor bike wash station in the open garage bay with a road bike on a repair stand and wash supplies on a shelf Covered front porch with two wooden rocking chairs along the cabin's stained log wall, warm string lights overhead, and forest views off the deck

More About the Property

Things That Matter the Most

When a mountain storm rolls through and the power goes out, you won't even notice. The full-home backup generator keeps the lights on, the heat running, and the coffee maker working. Storms knock out power in this corridor all the time. You'll stay on.

The WiFi is fast and reliable. Check tomorrow's weather, pull up trail conditions, stream a movie, or get a little work done if you have to. It just works.

There are TVs on both levels, so the downstairs crew and the upstairs crew don't have to fight over the remote. Watch the game, put on a movie, or leave it off. Your call.

There are gas fireplaces on both levels too. Cold nights and rainy afternoons are easy to wait out when you can flip on the fire and warm up fast.

And central heat and air keeps the whole house comfortable no matter the season. Cool in the summer, warm in the winter, no fussing with it.

This home is spectacular. As soon as you walked in you felt comfortable and in awe of all of the beautiful structures of the home. The fully fenced backyard and the hot tub were absolutely on point after a long drive. Our entire family had a blast!

Lovely, beautifully equipped home! We enjoyed the porch and deck and hot tub so much. The kitchen had everything plus more! So appreciated the spices and many appliances and many extras. The large capacity washer and dryer and detergent — such a help! The master bath was such a treat; loved the great tub and extras. House was immaculate.

Absolutely the best and most accurately pictured and described Airbnb we've experienced! Wonderful location — peaceful if you want to relax, but great hiking, waterfalls, cute small towns to explore, and even Asheville sights if you want to venture out each day. Btw the kitchen is extensively equipped with just about anything a chef would want!

This was a very good stay overall and I would recommend it for anyone! Jim was an amazing host, very responsive. The place was very well kept and the small details were amazing — waters, coffee, a crate for the dog, dog bags. They really went above and beyond. The location is to die for, perfect for hiking, and the cabin itself is stunningly beautiful and very private. A couple of minor notes for future guests: our hot tub was cold when we arrived so we lost a day while it warmed up (the host was very quick to get someone out to fix it), and the backup generator was loud when it ran at night. Other than those two minor hiccups the stay was amazing and I would highly recommend.
